This Neo-Renessaince palace is a highlight od hungarian architecture. It was built between 1893 and 1896 for the Supreme Court.

Permanent exhibition: “The Traditional Culture of the Hungarian People” with  Hungarian folk traditions from different eras, clothes, handicrafts, manuscripts, bridal dresses etc.

Museum includes about 200 000 items – 140 000 about hungarian folk culture and 60 000 from all over the world.

Location:  The museum is located in Kossuth tér, opposite the Parliament Building. Take the Subway (M2) to Kossuth tér, or Streetcar No. 2, which runs along the Pest riverfront and has a stop at Kossuth tér.
